Bettie's legendary pin-up photos made her the target of a Senate investigation into pornography, and transformed her into an erotic icon who continues to enthrall fans to this day.

Movie Trivia/Goofs

Movie Goof (factual errors): In the famous 'Jungle Bettie' pics, Bettie posed with cheetahs. In the movie they are jaguars.
Movie Goof (anachronisms): When on the beach in Coney Island, they show the Cyclone roller coaster and the parachute which would have been there in the 1950s. However, adjacent to the roller coaster is the Astroland Tower which would not have been built until the early 1960s.
Movie Goof (anachronisms): When Bettie first arrives in Florida and visits Bunnie's home, there is a 1959 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible in the driveway, although the scene is set as pre-1955.
The dialog in the courtroom scenes were taken from transcripts of the real event. In addition, some of the lines Chris Bauer says, in particular the ones spoken to Lili Taylor in the courthouse waiting room, are taken directly from letters and statements in the real life of Irving Klaw.
