Movie Goof (errors in geography): The film is set in India, yet the gathering at the monkey city includes hippopotamuses, which are native only to Africa, and ocelots, which are native only to the Americas.
Movie Goof (continuity error): When Shanti wipes the "war paint stripes" of Ranjan's face she cleans only one cheek - yet in the next shot, both cheeks are clean.
John Goodman recorded his voice work in New Orleans, while Haley Joel Osment recorded his in California.
