Movie Trivia/Goofs

  • "The Screen Guild Theater" broadcast a 30 minute radio adaptation of the movie on January 24, 1944 with 'Pat OBrien and Ruth Warrick reprising their film roles.
  • Some cast members in studio records/casting call lists did not appear or were not identifiable in the movie. These were (with their character names, if any): Frank Puglia (French major), 'Ian Wolfe' (Professor Runnymead), John Hamilton (Dean), Lee Phelps and Wilbur Mack.
  • The production was shut down from 20 May 1943 to 24 May 1943 when 'Pat OBrien went on tour to promote his film Bombardier (1943).
  • Movie Goof (revealing mistake): In the Fordham=NYU game the announcer reports that Fordham scores a touchdown, putting them ahead 13-0. Watching the visual image, however, clearly shows that the player is stopped 3 or 4 yards short of the touchdown, and the crowd does not respond to any touchdown.
