The Haunting in Connecticut

When the Campbell family moves to upstate Connecticut, they soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history: not only was the house a transformed funeral parlor where inconceivable acts occurred, but the owner's clairvoyant son Jonah served as a demonic messenger, providing a gateway for spiritual entities to crossover.

Movie Trivia/Goofs

  • Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): In 1987, the husband sells his hot rod truck and buys a 1982-1987 Buick Regal that already has decades worth of rust/wear on it. His buys this "old beater" to save money but in actuality, a Regal of that age might even be worth more then his collector truck because it's practically a new luxury car.
  • The story was first featured in the novel "In A Dark Place: The Story of a True Haunting" written by Ray Garton.
  • Movie Goof (anachronisms): The film takes place in 1987, but the ambulance shown immediately at the beginning is much newer than that.
  • The poem "As I was going up the stair / I met a man who wasn't there. / He wasn't there again today / I wish, I wish he'd go away" was written by Hughes Mearns.
