  • Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When the Congressmen are out in the field hunting, they spot a flock of geese and commence firing. However, even though we hear the sound of multiple rapid gunfire, none of the weapons (M16s) have any fire spitting from the barrels, nor do any spent cartridges eject.
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): The videotape at the end sounds different when played back than the actual conversation that took place.
  • In the scene between 'Eddie Murphy' and 'Charles Dutton' eating crab they are eating Dungeoness crab, which is found only on the west coast. Washington DC, Baltimore is known for their blue crab - an entirely different species typically eaten exactly the same way shown in the film. Dungeoness crab are not.
  • A longer version of the sex scene between Kimberly and Johnson was shot but never used. The scene ran over 4 minutes.
