  • The logo of the bank incorporates the symbol for Phi whose value can be derived from the Fibonacci Sequence.
  • Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Sir Leigh Teabing refers to the phenomenon of peoples' minds interpreting the same thing differently ("seeing what it wants to see") as scotoma. In reality, it's called pareidolia. Scotoma is the natural "blind spot" inherent the eyes of most mammals with good vision.
  • As with the other two films in the trilogy, author Dan Brown (VI) named main character Robert Langdon after John Langdon (II), a close friend and typography master who worked with Brown on ambigram designs for his book "Angels and Demons", as well as the films. John Langdon (II) also designed an ambigram that was used in the movie Monkeyshine (2008).
  • Opening film of the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.
