• Movie Goof (factual errors): The names on his Russian passport are written both in Cyrillic and Latin letters. In Cyrillic they say "Lshtshfum, Ashef" (which is a total nonsense - it is matching Russian letters from buttons on English keyboard), and in Latin letters it is "Kiniaev, Foma". (In the sequel 'The Bourne Supremacy', his Russian passport correctly has "Kiniaev, Foma" in both scripts.)
• Movie Goof (plot holes): Though rushing to close the Treadstone office in under 3 hours, they shred documents one page at a time.
• The DVD includes four deleted scenes: - Wombosi on a jet telling the man who referred Kane to him, that Cain came to kill him and he is going to find out who sent him. Cain is in reference from Robert Ludlum's Bourne Identity book in what is Jason Bourne's name when he is undercover. The Cain plot was not included in the movie. - While on the way to Paris, Marie stops the car to get a look on a map. Then follows a discussion why Marie should bring Bourne to Paris as she doesn't know him. After some talk they get back in the car and drive on - At the CIA headquarters a psychologist analyzes Bourne's motivations and gives her opinion to Conklin and Abbott - Bourne and Marie use the underground and talk about her cover identity for the Hotel Regina
• In Bourne Identity, the novel this movie was based on, Jason Bourne does not recover from his injuries on the ship. Instead, he spends months at the coast at an alcoholic doctor, who performs multiple surgeries on him. Also, in the novel, Jason's deposit box does not contain cash and a gun, and he opens it in the presence of a high-level bank employee. After this, Jason gets attacked already in the bank by professional assassins. Also in the novel Marie plays a much more important role.
