  • Movie Goof (factual errors): Babe Ruth hit the home run for the sick boy, Johnny Sylvester, in 1926. Not in the 1932 World Series when he called his shot, (off Chicago Cubs' pitcher, Charlie Root). They were two separate events, in different World Series and against different teams.
  • Dorothea Kent's final film.
  • Movie Goof (factual errors): In the movie, Johnny Sylvester is depicted as living in and being visited by the Babe in Gary, Indiana. However, Babe Ruth visited Johnny Sylvester at his home in Essex Fells, NJ.
  • The scenes at Yankee Stadium were shot and filmed, just hours before a real baseball game was scheduled to take place, and Babe Ruth got up from his death bed, just long enough, to see it, while he was still alive.
