Movie Trivia/Goofs

The movie is set about 10 years after the end of the novel That Was Then, This is Now. Two characters make appearances in Tex: Cathy Carlson, as Tex's English teacher, and the hitchhiker, who is Mark in disguise, escaped from prison.
CAMEO(S.E. Hinton): The typing teacher. Reflecting on her screen debut years later, she said, "I was supposed to look terrified, which was lucky, because I was."
Several mock-up sets duplicating Tex's house were built inside the National Guard Armory building on the campus of Broken Arrow Senior High.
Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Tex and Mason run the truck into the ditch with the hitch hiker the passenger side window that should be up is down, then up, then down again. When the driver's side window is shot out by the police, you can see a second pane of glass with a bullet hole behind the shattered glass.
