  • Movie Goof (anachronisms): When Elliot was walking past the wooden sheds in the mud, a man in air force uniform passed behind him. He had 2 F-16 model jets on his hat, and a B-1B bomber model on his chest. These were not built until the 70s/80s, and not a symbol for the Vietnam era.
  • Movie Goof (factual errors): We hear the Grateful Dead playing their song "China Cat Sunflower" during one of the earlier scenes at the festival. The Dead did not play this song at Woodstock. (In fact, Woodstock is famously one of the Dead's worst shows ever, according to band members and fans).
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): When Elliott returns to the motel after sliding/playing in the mud, his clothes are clean and dry.
  • The character Michael Lang's motorcycle is a BSA 441cc Victor made by the Birmingham Small Arms company of Small Heath, Birmingham, United Kingdom.
