• Movie Goof (continuity error): When Rick is fighting with the thug and the gun continues to go off, he hits two street lamps that fall on his mom and dad. When the thug runs away and Rick runs to his father, the street lamp is not on his head, or even in the shot. When he accidentally shoots his mom, the lamp is not on her head.
• Movie Goof (continuity error): In the school bus scene, Rick Riker has boarded the bus and is walking towards the rear of the bus trying to find a seat. He then spots Trey and walks past the row where Jill and Lance are cuddling together. When he sits next to Trey, Trey holds up a video camera which is aimed at Jill and Lance sitting a few rows BEHIND Rick and Trey. This is physically impossible, since all the school bus seats are facing forward.
• According to the commentary, actor Rip Torn was to play the "Lunatic Editor" but for some reason, not disclosed, was replaced.
• Earned four out of four stars from the Daily Bulletin Newspaper.
