Movie (1985)

Jack Chester, an overworked air traffic controller, takes his family on vacation to the beach. Things immediately start to go wrong for the Chesters, and steadily get worse. Jack ends up in a feud with a local yachtsman, and has to race him to regain his pride and family's respect.

Movie Goof (factual errors): From the radio setting on the beach, the weather forecast states that the temperature would reach 105 degrees. It has never reached over 99 degrees recorded temperature in the St Pete, FL area where the movie was filmed.
Movie Goof (continuity error): Near the end of the boat race, the Barnacle is supposedly last. Yet, when they pick up speed from the unexpected wind, you can clearly see a boat behind them with a rainbow-colored spinnaker. This may or may not have been the Incisor from "future" scenes in the film.
Movie Goof (continuity error): After kicking out the guy watching the "Smurfs", the cigarettes on the bed change positions between shots while the dog is laying in bed next to them.
There are several movie posters seen when Sandy and the kids go to the theater. The movies being advertised are: Airplane! Dragonslayer Uncommon Valor Footloose Top Secret!.
