• Movie Goof (factual errors): The U.S. Army personnel in the movie wear the outdated DCU and BDU. At the time of the movie's filming and release, the U.S. Army wore the ACU.
• Movie Goof (continuity error): During the chase scene, the machine gun mounted atop the HMMWV changes from the .50 M2 machine gun to a 7.62 M240B machine gun.
• Movie Goof (factual errors): The M4s shown in the film have the A2 style upper receiver, with fixed carrying handles. Only the first production run of M4s were built to this configuration, while the remainder had the A3 style upper receiver, with detachable carrying handle. The first production run M4s were a rather uncommon sight, and certainly wouldn't be used by a unit so up-to-date and well equipped as one shown in the film.
• A scene was filmed with Maggie Siff as an assistant to Senator Orton Worrell meeting Brandon in the senator's office. The scene was deleted from the final film.
