"The movie too HOT for words!"

Two musicians witness a mob hit and struggle to find a way out of the city before they are found by the gangsters. Their only opportunity is to join an all-girl as they leave on a tour. To make their getaway, they must first disguise themselves as women, then keep their identities secret and deal with the problems this brings - such as an attractive bandmate rich and very determined suitor.

  • Movie Goof (continuity error): When Sugar leaves the hotel to meet Joe on the boat the pavement is wet from the rain. When Joe cycles away from the hotel a few minutes later the roads are dry.
  • Porgy and Bess was being filmed right next to where the indoor scenes for this film were being shot. Sammy Davis Jr., Sidney Poitier and Dorothy Dandridge frequently visited the set.
  • One of the few American movies ever given a "Condemned" rating by the Roman Catholic Legion of Decency.
  • Movie Goof (anachronisms): When Junior asks Sugar where she learned how to kiss, she replied that she sold kisses for The Milk Fund. The story takes place in 1929; The Milk Fund was founded in 1932.
