Movie Trivia/Goofs

Movie Goof (continuity error): SPOILER: Gillian gives Shirley a silk dressing gown to take on holiday. When Shirley changes her mind about returning home and decides to stay in Greece at the last minute, her luggage arrives back at Manchester Airport, yet in a later scene back in Greece, she is wearing the same dressing gown. She would have packed it along with everything else for her journey home.
Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Shirley is with her son in the squat in Kirby he sees a couple of kids robbing a car. When the car drives away you can see that the kid driving is replaced by an adult stunt driver.
Joanna Lumley's cameo only took a day to film.
Pauline Collins originated the role of Shirley Valentine in the original London production of the play.
