Although billed in the cast as 'Matinee Idol' Trevor Eve's character is referred to in the movie as 'David Fairfax Jr'. This is a clear reference to the real-life role played in the Profumo affair by 'Douglas Fairbanks Jr', who was not named when the movie was made for legal reasons.
