From the director of Wolf Creek comes this terrifying look at nature's perfect killing machine. When a group of tourists stumble into the remote Australian river territory of an enormous crocodile, the deadly creature traps them on a tiny mud island with the tide quickly rising and darkness descending. Movie Goof (continuity error): The tour boat is initially drawn to the crocodile's territory by the distress flares of another boat in trouble. It can be assumed that one or more persons died in this attack, though no bodies are seen. However, in the article shown in the closing shot of the film, only four deaths are listed - those of the characters followed by the action of the film.
Movie Goof (continuity error): SPOILER: During the last fight with the Crocodile, Pete gets his ring and pinky fingers bitten off. However, later both fingers are seen only covered in blood.
Nathan Phillips auditioned for the role of Neil Kelly.
Movie Goof (revealing mistake): During the scene when Pete is walking through the forest during the early hours of the morning, the sunlight is coming from directly above him as seen by the shadows beneath him and the plants around him.
