When he loses a highly publicized virtual boxing match to ex-champ Rocky Balboa, reigning heavyweight titleholder Mason Dixon retaliates by challenging the Itallian Stallion to a nationally televised, 10-round exhibition bout. To the surprise of his son and friends, Rocky agrees to come out of retirement and face an opponent who's faster, stronger and thirty years his junior.

Movie Goof (crew or equipment visible): The shadow of a microphone is visible on Rocky's red T-shirt when goes outside from restaurant talk to Rocky Jr.
Movie Goof (continuity error): When Rocky is talking to Paulie in the restaurant about the simulated fight, the bottle on the bar changes from one with a black label on the neck, to one with a blue label on the neck, back to black, then back to blue.
Sylvester Stallone was actually knocked unconscious while filming the final fight scene.
According to Sylvester Stallone, the shot of Rocky standing alone on the museum steps before the second set of end credits was actually filmed without him even knowing.
