Movie Goof (continuity error): After strapping Dorothy onto the stretcher, the two "wheelers" change places between shots.
The film received a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records as the sequel that was made the longest period of time after the original - it was released 46 years after The Wizard of Oz.
Fairuza Balk did all her own stunts.
Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Mombi wakes up and walks around headless, it is obvious by her stiff jerky movements, and the way she glides rather than walks, that is an animatronic puppet and not Jean Marsh.
