Pete's Dragon

Movie (1977)

Pete, a young orphan, runs away to a Maine fishing town with his best friend--a lovable, sometimes invisible dragon named Elliott! When they are taken in by a kind lighthouse keeper, Nora (Helen Reddy), and her father (Mickey Rooney), Elliott's prank playing lands them in big trouble. Then, when crooked salesmen try to capture Elliott for their own gain, Pete must attempt a daring rescue.

Movie Trivia/Goofs

GOOFY HOLLER: When Doc Terminus is tied to the harpoon shot from a cannon and flies out the building roof with it.
There were plans to move the lighthouse, specially constructed for the film, to the Disneyland theme park. Unfortunately, the building had deteriorated beyond repair before this could be done.
Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Pete is riding the invisible dragon in the opening scenes through the forest, the lines holding him up in the air are visible.
Movie Goof (miscellaneous): During the song 'Every Little Piece': Doc sings 'Crowns!', then Hoagy sings 'Sous!' The subtitles say Hoagy's line as 'shoes'. This is obviously incorrect, they are singing about money and the sou is an old French coin or a small amount of money.
