  • Movie Goof (factual errors): It's called a double elimination event on numerous occasions, but Hawk only beat Bull Hurly once to take the championship.
  • Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): SPOILER: When Hawk wins his final arm wrestling match against Bull, if you look closely he never actually pins Bull's arm to the table completely.
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): When Hawk arrives at the Military School in his truck, the 'Hawk' figurine can not be seen on the bonnet of the truck.
  • John Wetton, lead singer of the rock group Asia, sang "Winner Takes It All" for the movie, but after performing the song, it was felt that his voice wasn't "mean" enough, so the song was offered to Sammy Hagar, whose version ended up being the one on the soundtrack.
