Movie Trivia/Goofs

→ View All
  • Director Jaume Collet-Serra allowed Isabelle Fuhrman to do the swearing scene (in which Esther informs Kate that she is aware adults have sex) in one or two takes so she would not have to swear repeatedly.
  • Movie Goof (revealing mistake): (At 1:57:37) In the credits the word "Russia" in Russian from Esther's papers is spelled wrong. The first letter should look like the Latin character "P," not "R" as was shown in the film.
  • Movie Goof (revealing mistake): The Smith & Wesson m-36 holds 5 rounds, as clearly shown when she removes it from the safe and opens the cylinder. Esther fires five rounds when chasing Kate through the house. When Max picks it up by the pond, she fires a "magical" sixth round.
  • Esther was originally written as having fair skin, delicate features, and platinum blonde hair. Isabelle Fuhrman doesn't fit this description. However, the filmmakers were so impressed with her auditions that they cast her anyway.
