After breaking up with his girlfriend, Priscilla (Pressly), a popular jock, Jake Wyler (Evans) makes a bet with his friends, that he can't make 'ugly girl' Janey Briggs (Leigh) into prom queen. After spending more and more time with Janey, Jake really starts to think whether he wants to keep the bet on or not

CAMEO(Melissa Joan Hart): girl at the party.
A banner in the cafeteria says 'SAVE FERRIS'.
The original title was "Teen Movie", but this was ditched as the movie got more and more... un-teen. Then the title was changed to "NOT A Teen Movie" because of this. Then it was changed to "Not Another Teen Movie" because of all the parodies and the fact that there were so many teen movies before it.
Movie Goof (continuity error): When the movie starts, Janey is about to use her vibrator. when it is first seen the dial is all the way up on the vibrator. The camera moves when it comes back Janey pushes the dial is down and she pushes it up to turn it on.
