• Movie Goof (boom mic visible): A studio boom mic is clearly visible when the reporter is giving a report from the families' front yard, even though the reporter is speaking into a microphone.
• Movie Goof (continuity error): After Det. Mariner questions Eli for the second time, Eli and his mother follow the detective out to his car, which is parked with its wheels partially off the asphalt. In the next shot, all of the wheels are on the asphalt.
• Movie Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): In the mall scene the mini cooper used was a base model but the sound coming from the motor was that of a Supercharged S model.
• Movie Goof (crew or equipment visible): Near the end of the Mini in the Mall sequence, a stunt driver can be seen in the driver's seat of the car. He first appears when the vehicle is stationary, about 20 seconds before the end of the scene, then immediately after, when the car is headed for one of the walls.
