New In Town Goofs/Mistakes
- Movie Goof (continuity error): When Lucy returns the tapioca bowl, Blanche takes it back at the front door. Later, Lucy carries it through to the kitchen.
- Movie Goof (boom mic visible): When Ted is discusses severance compensation on the phone, the boom is visible.
- Movie Goof (revealing mistake): The Minnesota license plates shown in the movie have a combination of letters and numbers in one grouping. A standard Minnesota license plate groups 3 numbers and 3 letters separately.
- Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Lucy jogs at the beginning along the shore, there is a boat on the horizon. The same scene is replayed near the end, after her time in New Ulm.
- Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Lucy arrives in Minnesota it is supposed to be November but the weather that is shown is consistent of January/February weather. It does not snow that heavily at the beginning of November in Minnesota.
- Movie Goof (errors in geography): New Ulm is not "a few miles down the road" from the Mayo Clinic; it's over 100 miles away. Minneapolis and St. Paul are larger and closer to the Clinic.
- Movie Goof (incorrectly regarded as a mistake): When Lucy has to go to the bathroom while bird shooting and Ted tries to unzip her snowsuit, she tells him to "Hurry" multiple times. To some it sounds like she says "Harry!", the name of the actor playing Ted.
- Movie Goof (errors in geography): Opening shots of New Ulm include Manitoba highway signs. Manitoba is over 300 miles from New Ulm.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): During the opening sequence, Lucy wears some very trendy red high heels. When she gets off the elevator in her office, the businesswoman next to her is carrying them.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): SPOILER: Stu is fired. He reappears in a later scene, and is on the plant floor well before Lucy hires him back as plant foreman.
