  • Movie Goof (factual errors): SPOILER: At the end of the movie when the Seal team is swimming out from the beach to escape, there are a number of enemy soldiers firing at them from the beach. The Seals dive under the water to avoid being shot, but the angle at which you see the bullets coming down under water cannot be achieved from firing from the beach into the surface of the water at that distance. For those bullet angles, the shooter would have to be several feet above the surface, at a range of mo more than 10 feet from the bullet entry into the water.
  • Movie Goof (crew or equipment visible): Cameraman reflected in a television screen
  • Movie Goof (factual errors): As the Seals escape through Beirut in a hijacked car, Leary carries a Stinger missile but doesn't use it until he has figured out how it works. The Seals regularly train with all types of US weapons and any Seal would be very familiar with the Stinger and its method of use.
  • Movie Goof (factual errors): After the SEALS jump from the plane and HALO into the water, there is a scene where two SEALS approach each other and give the thumbs-up sign. In diving hand signals, this is a sign to surface, not check on their status. The SEALS should have given each other the "OK" sign by circling index and thumb with the other three fingers extended.
