  • Movie Goof (factual errors): SPOILER: In Lucha Libre, Ramses should have been disqualified for ripping off Nacho's mask.
  • Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Under lucha libre rules, once a luchador is on the ropes, his opponent must release any holds. In Nacho's first match, he does not let go of his opponent's legs after he grabs the ropes.
  • Ramses is portrayed by Cesar Gonzalez, a real life luchador best known as Silver King, a second generation luchador who is the son of lucha libre legend Dr. Wagner. He is also the brother fellow luchador Dr. Wagner Jr. and the uncle of the recently debuted Dr. Wagner III.
  • While filming a wrestling scene, Jack Black jumped from the ring and struck his head on a chair. This caused a gash above his right eye which needed stitches.
