• Movie Goof (continuity error): In the final scene, we see the two survivors fly off in their helicopter. We know that the helicopter is scheduled for 8:00 AM and that the island they're on is off the US east coast. Still, the helicopter flies into the sun in the final shot. If the sun is rising, they are flying in the wrong direction. If the sun is setting, they are flying at the wrong time.
• Paul Martin Smith was hired as an editor because the studio was impressed with his work on Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.
• Movie Goof (continuity error): When J.D. and Nicole are kissing in the shower they switch places all of a sudden.
• Movie Goof (continuity error): In the scene after they first arrive on the island, they are doing the bet with the Rubix Cube. When Bobby or Lucas looks at the watch, it says SAT on it. That is supposed to be Friday night. They are investigating the crime scene Saturday morning. They had just arrived there and are settling in.
