CAMEO(Ray Harryhausen): he did most of the stop-motion animated effects in the original movie in 1947.
CAMEO(Terry Moore and (Ray Harryhausen): The star of the original Mighty Joe Young, and the legendary stop-motion animator (who did most of the animation on the 1949 film) appear as an elderly couple at the gala. Looking at Jill Young, Terry Moore states, "She reminds me of somebody, but I can't think who." Harryhausen replies, "You, when we first met."
The melody being played on the boardwalk is "Beautiful Dreamer," the favorite of Joe in the original film.
CAMEO(Terry Moore): she played the role of Jill in the original 1949 release.
