- Movie Goof (factual errors): In the movie, Delacroy wins the national contract to supply all voting machines for the upcoming election. This would be impossible, as all conditions for national elections are determined by each state, and not on a national level.
- Movie Goof (factual errors): When Dobbs in a guest on SNL, the studio TV camera viewfinders show a 4:3 aspect ratio, yet the studio floor monitors (used by the studio crew to watch the output) are 16:9 aspect ratio. If the studio TV cameras are shooting 4:3, then the studio floor monitors would also be 4:3.
- Movie Goof (miscellaneous): In the scene in the Laundromat, there is a sign in the background indicating no rollerskating, etc... Rollerskating is spelled "rollerscating". In fact this same sign also has the word "Strictly" spelled as "Stricly"
- Universal originally canceled the release of the DVD in Germany, following complaints about a very poor quality of the dubbing. Nonetheless, after discussions about the Clinton vs Obama US democratic party presidential campaign reached high ratings in Germany, the DVD was at last released in spring 2008.
