• Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): After Machete asks Sartana to trust him because they're both cops, she makes a comment about knowing he's taken the bullets from her gun, and is then surprised when she ejects the clip and finds it to be fully loaded. As a cop and someone who has thus had better than average experience with holding firearms, she should really be able to feel the difference in weight between a loaded pistol and one with an empty clip.
• Movie Goof (continuity error): (At 25:48) In the rooftop scene, after Machete shoots 3 bad guys in the foot and they're rolling around in agony, a splash of blood appears out of nowhere for a few frames before the shot changes back to Machete's face.
• This film is being made because of the fake trailer's popularity after being featured in the theatrical version of Grindhouse along with the other fake trailers and advertisements featured in the film. "Thanksgiving" is the other popular fake trailer included in the film and was directed by Eli Roth and is now in development to be made into a full length film.
• Danny Trejo, Jeff Fahey and Cheech Marin who are featured in the fake trailer featured in Grindhouse, reprise their roles for this film as well. Tito Larriva, one of Robert Rodriguez's closest friends and who's acted in several films was featured in the trailer but at this point not confirmed to be in this film. Fahey was also featured in Planet Terror which was written, produced and directed by Rodriguez.
