Movie Trivia/Goofs

The video of George and young Sam playing in the surf was shot by Kevin Kline's wife, Phoebe Cates. She videotaped Kevin and their son Owen on the beach in Bermuda.
Movie Goof (continuity error): In the beginning of the movie when Mr. Dokos is chasing Guster with his car, in one shot it is a big SUV and in the next shot from the side it changes to the black Lexus that we know is his car later in the film.
The featured house had to be removed after filming, but costume designer Molly Maginnis led a group of parents that had it dismantled, reconstructed, and enlarged to become a library for the Kenter Canyon school in Brentwood, California. The new library opened in April 2004.
Movie Goof (continuity error): When Alisya is talking to Robin about her coming everyday to help with the house, Alisya's hair repeatedly jumps from her shoulder to hanging down her back between shots.
