In the combustible action franchise's final installment, maverick detectives Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh square off against Asian mobster Wah Sing Ku, who's up to his neck in slave trading and counterfeit currency. With help from gumshoe Leo Getz and smart-aleck rookie cop Lee Butters, Riggs and Murtaugh aim to take down Ku and his gang.

Movie Trivia/Goofs

Movie Goof (continuity error): In the final shootout, Roger tells Riggs he only has 2 bullets left. Then after Butters takes a bullet for him, Roger fires 2 bullets at the man who shot at him. Then he later kills one of the Four Fathers with his "final" bullet. He should have been out already.
Murtaugh's boat is named "Code 7" which is the LAPD radio code for a meal break.
The ending was still being written while the movie was in production.
Movie Goof (continuity error): During Riggs' and Murtaugh's chase on the freeway the window on Murtaugh's side of the car is alternately closed (in most long shots) or open (in close-ups).
