• Movie Goof (continuity error): In the beginning, when Chris is writing in Jamie's yearbook, he is moving the pen as if he was actually writing the message. However, the words are already written down.
• In one of the photos of Chris from high school, a pennant from director Roger Kumble's alma mater (Northwestern University) can be seen hanging on the wall.
• Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Chris, Jamie and his Mom are watching home videos in the living room, in one of the video shots, where there is a close up on Chris' "fat face", you can see part of his fat suit peeling off his chin.
