Movie Trivia/Goofs

→ View All
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): When Juno goes to see Paulie at night and mentions how hard he's studying, when the camera changes angles there is nothing on the paper when he was clearly writing when she entered the room.
  • The compact disc from which Mark plays "Superstar" by Sonic Youth is "If I Were a Carpenter", a 1994 compilation of covers of The Carpenters' songs.
  • Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Juno says "...and always smells like methylmethacrylate..." (according to the script.) She pronounces it "methyl methacralyte". Methyl methacralyte isn't a real chemical compound. Methyl methacrylate is used to make plastics, like plexiglas or PVC. Methyl acrylate is a chemical compound used to make nail lacquer.
  • J.K. Simmons was so impressed with the script that he would have been happy just to play the teacher who has no spoken dialogue - anything to appear in the film.
