Gladys Glover has just lost her modeling job when she meets filmmaker Pete Sheppard shooting a documentary in Central Park. For Pete it's love at first sight, but Gladys has her mind on other things, making a name for herself. Through a fluke of advertising she winds up with her name plastered over 10 billboards throughout city.

Movie Trivia/Goofs

The background music playing during the scene when Peter Lawford is trying to romance Judy Hollidayis also used during several scenes in From Here to Eternity .
Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Gloria goes on "The People Speak" and is obviously reading from cue cards, she breaks the word "getting" into two halves, as if the word wrapped: "get-" ending one line and "ting" starting the next. But when the cue card is shown a moment later, "getting" is in the middle of a line, not wrapped.
Garson Kanin originally wanted to direct his own script but could not get a commitment from studio chief Harry Cohn in writing guaranteeing him final cut. He ultimately sold the story outright to Cohn and went to Europe for three years.
Movie Goof (continuity error): When Evan brings Gladys home they do not have hats on and she lets herself out of the car, yet when she looks at Pete's film, they both have hats on and Evan comes around and lets her out of the car.
