Veteran Secret Service agent Frank Horrigan is a man haunted by his failure to save President Kennedy while serving protection detail in Dallas. Thirty years later, a man calling himself "Booth" threatens the life of the current President, forcing Horrigan to come back to protection detail to confront the ghosts from his past.

Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When the police cars converge on the St. Francis hotel, one of the cops forgets to put his car in park and has to get back in to stop it from rolling.
Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Horrigan is in the cab, he takes out his gun and pulls back the slide to possibly put a bullet in the chamber, the slide locks back meaning the magazine was empty
The scene where Clint Eastwood and his partner are going up the stairs into the Secret Service office next to the White House is not the Secret Service building, it's the main Treasury building. Although Secret Service is part of the Treasury Department, it is not located in the main Treasury building.
