Movie Trivia/Goofs

  • Throughout the movie, we see several instances of Apple's iPhone being used (mainly by Peter), along with its staple "Marimba" ringtone. Later on in the movie, we can hear Matt Costa's "Mr. Pitiful" playing after Peter argues with Zooey about not being sure about their marriage, which was used by Apple later on in their first iPhone 3GS advertisement.
  • SPOILER: CAMEO(OK Go): during the credits, as the band in the wedding ceremony.
  • Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Sydney says he bought an item on eBay by using "Buy It Now" because he was being outbid. Once bidding starts, "Buy It Now" ceases to become an option, unless there is a reserve set that has not yet been reached.
  • Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Sydney answers his iPhone while driving, the caller is listed as "El Amantilado" instead of a number. It's pretty unlikely that he already had the resort's number stored.
