Movie Trivia/Goofs

  • Movie Goof (miscellaneous): When Dutch has his men bust in the room to kill Bumpy while he is supposed to be meeting the accountant, one man has a shotgun that was not made during that time period.
  • Movie Goof (errors in geography): The big gunfight where Madame Queen is nearly killed was obviously not filmed in Harlem, but on S. LaSalle St. in Chicago. Several other shots are obviously not Harlem.
  • Movie Goof (anachronisms): When Dutch exits Lucky's car onto the steps of the library, he spoofs the title of Dale Carnegie's _How to Win Friends and Influence People_, prior to the book's publication in 1936.
  • Though set in New York, the movie was filmed in Chicago because it still has buildings that are of the type that were in Harlem in the 1930s unlike present day New York.
