• Movie Goof (crew or equipment visible): When Angus is in the helicopter chasing Dorian, Sally and his mom, we see through the windshield of the helicopter that the highway is blocked off by orange cones and police cars. In the previous and subsequent shots, there is traffic flowing.
• Robin Williams was originally going to play Red Jackson, but dropped out shortly before filming began.
• Movie Goof (continuity error): After Dorian and Sally meet for the first time, we see the truck pulling away from the Burger Matic. The dog which had previously been in the bed of the truck, is missing.
