Originally set for a US theatrical release in late 2007 and then 2008, it languished in a vault secondary to the production company going bankrupt after post-production was already completed.
The working title was "A West Texas Children's Story".
This feature film employed over 50 local New Mexicans.
Production was postponed for about a year and a half.
