Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Sam is trying to operate a record player on his first date with Ruby, what appears to be fishing line is clearly visible pulling the arm back across the record.
Although this was released a month after Brad Anderson (II)'s film Session 9, he actually completed it two years previously.
The book that Ruby reads in the film, The Delta of Venus, was written by Anaïs Nin.
Holland Taylor, who plays the therapist, is actually Brad Anderson (II)'s aunt.
