Movie Trivia/Goofs

  • Peter Berg was quoted that he did this movie for the sake of his young son. While editing The Kingdom, his son's frequent visits in the editing room prompted him to make a comic-book style movie. At that time the script of the film surfaced around for so long and with no director attached, so he jumped at the chance.
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): When Hancock throws Ray's car into the other cars and stops the train, Ray's windshield cracks. When Hancock drags the car into the driveway a few moments later, the windshield is as good as new.
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): When Ray is waiting in traffic on the train tracks, he is talking on a cell phone, holding it up to his left ear. He ends the conversation. In a later long shot, the phone is still at his left ear.
  • When we see Hancock flying to the scene of the bank robbery, the soundtrack bass notes are rhythmical identical to the repeated bass notes in the theme from Superman.
