Movie Trivia/Goofs

The movie's production was delayed due to the death of Moustapha Akkad, the producer of all 8 previous movies. Akkad died of severe injuries as a result from the terrorist attacks at Jordan in 2005.
Max Van Ville auditioned for the role of Steve, but was cast as Paul instead.
Movie Goof (incorrectly regarded as a mistake): The movie does not begin in 1963 then move on 17 years to Halloween 1980, as some viewers think, therefore any perceived anachronisms can be discounted.
Movie Goof (continuity error): When Laurie calls the cops about the attack on Annie, She is calling from Lindsey Wallace's house. When the cops show up about the call, they go to Tommy Doyle's house.
