Movie (1971)

Michael Caine is Jack Carter, a small-time hood working in London. When word reaches him of his brothers death, he travels to Newcastle to attend the fulneral. Refusing to accept the police report of suicide, Carter seeks out his brother's friends and acquaintances to learn who murdered his sibling and why.

Movie Trivia/Goofs

Movie Goof (continuity error): In the scene when Jack Carter goes into the cafe and asks Geraldine "Where's Albert", you can see the rear end of Kinnear's big blue Cadillac car parked in the street outside.
SPOILER: Mike Hodges (Director, Writer) always intended for Carter to die in the film. This is foreshadowed multiple times, including the very first scene of the film where curtains are drawn across Jack Carter looking down "from heaven" as he's standing in the window.
Movie Goof (continuity error): In the final scene on the beach, Eric Paice slips in the sand and loses his shoe. In the next shot he is wearing both shoes.
Movie Goof (continuity error): During the nightclub scene where Jack is tracking down Thorpie; Thorpe pushes past two men coming up from the toilets/cloakrooms. When Jack arrives in the toilets moments later one of the men Thorpe passed on the stairs going to the toilet can be seen combing his hair.
