  • Movie Goof (continuity error): In one of the scene when Jon's car is in his driveway, the license plate is not the generic I35 749, but in the next scene it changes back.
  • This was the first film ever to air on The Hub, a U.S. children's television channel co-owned by Discovery Communications and toy company Hasbro (on October 10, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. ET - two hours after launch).
  • The animal trainer wore blue gloves and pushed the real dog off the chair. Then the blue hands were digitally erased. The CG Garfield was animated and matchmoved with the real dog. Then Garfield was composted into the live-action plate, pushing the dog off the chair.
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): When Garfield is trying to stop the trains, the positions of the three levers on the train control table change constantly between shots.
