- Movie Goof (continuity error): As Nicole and Brad discuss her star-struck behavior while seated at the dining table in the apartment, a bottle of Snapple is seen in front of Brad as he gives her frank advice about how to talk to him. But immediately following this bit of dialogue, Stuart enters the scene and places three bottles of Snapple onto an empty table. A bottle was out of place.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): In one shot of the dining area of the apartment there is a potted plant in the corner of the windows. In a later scene you see Nicole re-arranging a dining area that doesn't have the plant and moving the plant to that same corner.
- Movie Goof (revealing mistake): Nicole and Stuart go to Missoula, Montana for Christmas (the middle of winter) and yet all of the shrubbery and potted plants (none are evergreens) at the family's house are still green. Montana winters are not known to be overly mild and kind to plants.
- Movie Goof (factual errors): After Stuart's brother Jordan commits suicide, one of the following scenes shows the funeral for Jordan. At the beginning of the movie after Nicole meets Stuart, she mentions in a call to her mother that Stuart is Jewish. So, if Jordan is Stuart's brother, then he must be Jewish too. Therefore, he would have a Jewish funeral. In a Jewish Funeral, the men wear yipot on their heads (small caps to symbolize that god is with them), and there is no wake afterwards, the body would be taken immediately to the cemetery (not to someone's house).
