  • Movie Goof (continuity error): When Bruce is chasing Marlin and Dory, the mask in his mouth switches from the right side to the left side and then back again.
  • In the tank gang in the dentist's office, the germophobic purple and yellow fish is the only one never mentioned by name. His name was later revealed to be Gurgle.
  • Movie Goof (factual errors): The divers' boat has a stern-drive unit with two propellers. When it starts, both propellers turn in the same direction, but they should rotate in opposite directions.
