Jennifer Garner filmed this movie while on summer hiatus of her television series Alias.
Movie Goof (factual errors): During one flashback, Elektra goes back to her ride in the ambulance when she dies. The paramedics use a defibrillator on her. A defibrillator is only supposed to be used on bare skin but they have it being used over a leather vest. (This was most likely done to help connect the flashback to her final scene in Daredevil by showing the costume she wore that night.)
Scenes from one promo, depicting Mark Miller (Goran Visnjic) effectively fighting off ninjas at his waterfront cabin, were deleted from the theatrical release.
The 'N' in the gates of Elektra's mansion stands for "Natchios", which is Elektra's last name in the comic books and in Daredevil.
