"After a night they can't remember, comes a day they'll never forget."

Jesse and Chester, two bumbling stoners, wake up one morning from a night of partying and cannot remember where they parked their car. They encounter a variety of people while looking for it, including their angry girlfriends, an angry street gang, a transexual stripper, a cult of alien seeking fanatics, and aliens in human form looking for a mystical device that could save or destroy the world.

Movie Goof (revealing mistake): There is a hand putting items in the locker at Captain Stus.
When Ashton Kutcher, first read the script for the film, he almost turned down the role because he found it to be "very stupid." But when he read the "you got a tattoo!" scene, he could not stop laughing and agreed to take on the part.
Movie Goof (continuity error): When Jesse and Chester are taking out the trash in their girlfriends home, Chester takes off his left shoe and sock but then picks up the bottle top with his bare right foot.
When Jesse and Chester come to the Chinese Food drive in they show the sign. At the top of the sign it has Chinese characters. These characters roughly translate to "and then?"
